Course Details

In brief you will learn:

The history of reflex therapy

Reflexology theory

Practical reflex therapy skills

Anatomy, physiology and pathology

The philosophy of natural medicine

Stress management, including basic nutrition, exercise and relaxation skills

Listening skills

Practice Management

A basic introduction to the use of essential and herbal oils on the reflex zones

A basic introduction to the use of sound, colour and gems on the reflex zones

 

The course is held on one weekend per month for 15 months, except for month one which is over 3 days.

Course dates are as follows:

8th & 9th & 10th April         14th & 15th May 2005

25th & 26th June 2005       23rd & 24th July 2005

20th & 21st August 2005    17th & 18th September 2005

15th & 16th October 2005  12th & 13th November 2005

10th & 11th Dec 2005         21st & 22nd January 2006

18th & 19th Feb 2006         18th & 19th March 2006

8th & 9th April 2006             13th & 14th May 2006

10th & 11th June 2006

Class times will be from either 9.30 am to 5.30 pm or 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, depending on the majority decision.

The venue is the Physiotherapy Department at the Liskeard Community Hospital.

There will be a maximum of 6 students on the course.

There is no need for any previous qualifications. Entrance to the course is via a completed application form and pre-course meeting. The most important requirement is a desire to heal and a desire to learn.

Your learning pack will include course notes, charts and audio/visual learning materials.

The total course fee is £1525.00. A deposit of £100.00 will be required with your completed application form and the balance can either be paid in full or in 15 monthly installments of £95.00. If the course balance is paid in full a 10% discount will apply, leaving a balance of £1272.50 to be paid.

Once your completed application form is received, you will be invited to attend a meeting with myself in order that we can further discuss the course and your application. Once you are fully enrolled on the course you will be sent an information pack giving full details of the course. This will enable you to plan and begin your reading, prepare your folders and organize your work schedule.

Reflex Therapy Practical—Foot Reflex Therapy, Brazilian Toe Massage & the use of acupoints on the feet

A&P—Nervous, Digestive, Respiratory, Circulatory, Lymphatic, Urinary, Endocrine & Reproductive Systems

Use of essential & herbal oils in reflex therapy

Listening Skills

The Qualification

Assessment of your development will comprise a combination of ongoing assessment throughout the course, completion of written case studies plus final written examinations for Anatomy and Physiology (lasting one hour) and The Theory and Practice of Reflex Therapy (lasting 1.5 hours).

Upon completion of all the course requirements you will be awarded the Diploma in Iyisana Reflex Therapy from the Iyisana School of Natural Ways.
